Site Notes. There are different diameters and forms. I have a number of these tool and they are useful for boring and internal threading. What you have looks like a form threading tool. The sixty degree angle is held around the diameter of the tool. Resharpen the top flat only. Since the head is screwed on to a 'Bokem' bar, rotate that bar in your lathe toolholder for the correct orientation when threading.

Think it's a threading form tool that mounts on a boring head in a mill. Similar to the old Armstrong threading tools that allowed you to resharpen the tool by regrinding the face LaLaLa Bosleyjr.
