The fact that you cannot use the mapdata that is offered for specific Garmin units is a pity pricewise , but may also be attributed to the medium in and the relatively low production volume: no other garmin navigation system uses maps supplied on a DVD Thus indicating there is a genuine Garmin with all Garmin support, not some half and half system.

Last edited by azee13; 14th October at PM. Hi all, After reading several posts related to kenwood navigation update I am wondering are there any possibility to update maps on DNX or via DVD. In user manual it is the only option for the map updates. As I have the unit which do not has SD card slot and it's hard to pull out the head unit from the car front panel, updating maps from DVD would be the best option.
So is it possible to put unlocked map images into DVD and afterwards update the current maps. Thanx in advance! By the way - very good site! Last edited by lejka; 6th May at PM.
