The flow of the game I felt was pretty decent. There are 9 mini-games and they are all pretty basic, there is this letter sorting game that I thought was the best. The actual racing has a real arcade feel to it and in all what is here is super simple, but it works well enough.
Again, just like following the story, I think if you were familiar with it, you would probably get more out of the game and the interactions with the characters. I think that it actually looks pretty good, I would learn that this is actually a remake of a game released in and it is a massive upgrade. I think the game has a lot of charm and the racing stuff, in particular, looks very decent.
The mini-games each have their own style too and granted some are more basic than others, but everything here is colorful and designed well enough so I have no complaints.
